Yongla Goenpa, or Yongla Monastery, is a significant and revered monastery located in the remote eastern part of Mongar District, perched on a spur overlooking the Gamri Chhu river. Founded in the 18th century by the illustrious terton, Jigme Kundrol, it is a prominent center for the Nyingmapa school of Buddhism in the region.
